Grand Prix of Vitebsk 2009 junior song contest goes to Romania
VITEBSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Maria from Romania won the Grand Prix of the 7th international junior song contest Vitebsk 2009, BelTA has learnt. Apart from a special prize and diploma, the winner gets $5,000. The first prize ($3,000) and a diploma were presented to Andranik Aleksanyan (Ukraine). The second prize ($2,000) went to Maria Novik (Belarus). The third prize was shared by Kamile (Lithuania) and Anel Karshygaeva (Kazakhstan). The special prizes of the Union State were presented to Lolita (Belarus) and Robik (Russia). Virgilia Siddi who performed with high temperature received a special price for her will to victory and hard work. The head of the jury Leonid Zakhlevny underlined at the awarding ceremony that all the participants are winners. The international junior song contest Vitebsk 2009 is part of the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk festival. Taking part in the competition were 19 young singers from 16 countries. The founders of the competition - Belarus, Russia and Ukraine - can be represented by two participants.БЕЛТА
