German businessmen discuss industrial cooperation in Vitebsk
VITEBSK, 20 May (BelTA) – German businessmen discuss the development of industrial cooperation at the international innovative and investment forum “Innovative business – investing into future” in Vitebsk, BelTA learned from Vladimir Avgustinsky, head of the German economic mission in Belarus. According to Vladimir Avgustinsky, the relations between Belarus and Germany are rather advanced. “Belarus and Germany have achieved a rather advanced level of economic relations. Germany is the most important partner of Belarus among non-CIS countries. It provides innovative products such as equipment and technologies,” Vladimir Avgustinsky said. German companies are eager to promote cooperation with Belarusian enterprises. Thus the forum in Vitebsk has welcomed representatives of waste recycling companies and manufacturers of oil processing equipment. “One more contact point for Belarus and Germy can be industrial cooperation,” Vladimir Avgustinsky is convinced. Representatives of the German business community are going to take part in the business matchmaking session. Partaking in the investment forum which is held in Vitebsk on 20-21 May are more than 200 businesses from 12 countries. Potential investors will consider over 150 investment proposals. The priority avenues are innovations in logistics, energy savings, food and wood processing industry, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, tourism. The forum will include a scientific and practical exhibition of innovative and investment projects “Science. Innovations. Investments”, a presentation of the most promising projects, a business matchmaking session, visits to companies and investment grounds. Investors will learn about the projects which have been successfully implemented in the region, meet with businessmen engaged in investment activities in Vitebsk Oblast.БЕЛТА
