Georgia’s Mariam Bichoshvili wins Grand Prix of junior song contest Vitebsk 2012
VITEBSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Mariam Bichoshvili from Georgia won the Grand Prix of the International Junior Song Contest Vitebsk 2012 held as part of the 21st International Arts Festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, BelTA learnt. Mariam Bichoshvili was awarded $5,000, a special prize and a diploma. Alisher Zhaksybai from Kazakhstan was announced the first runner-up. He received $3,000, as well as a special prize and a diploma. The second position and $2,000 was shared between three singers, namely Diana from Romania, Shuhrat from Uzbekistan and Pollianna Ryzhak from Ukraine. Paulina Skrabyte from Lithuania became the third runner-up and received $1,000. The solemn awarding ceremony was held in the concert hall Vitebsk. Liza Muravieva from Belarus and Anna Muzafarova from Russia were awarded special prizes of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State. The International Junior Song Contest Vitebsk 2012 was held on 16-18 July. Belarus was represented by Yevgenia Klepitskaya and Liza Muravieva. The jury was presided by Jemal Sepiashvili, a Georgian composer and singer.БЕЛТА
