Dokshitsy to welcome 200 guests to celebrate 600th anniversary

About 200 guests will come to Dokshitsy in the Vitebsk oblast to celebrate the town’s 600th anniversary marked on September 15, BelTA has been told in the town’s regional executive committee.

The event will be opened by a big theatre performance about the town’s foundation, creation of the emblem and the milestones of Dokshitsy history. The performance of the Vitebsk aero-club will follow the celebrations. The brass band and creative groups of the town and neighbouring regions will partake in the festive concert. In the evening, the winners of the contest for the best beautification project will be announced. Fireworks will end the day of celebrations.

The regional executive committee has informed that September 16 will be dedicated to children. The programme Hometown from Childhood will include the performance of children’s creative groups, the contest of asphalt drawings, an open air conference of young artists, open carting championships, numerous contests and sideshows.
