CIS deputy chief: Belarus will deliver high-quality CIS Games

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Belarus will deliver the high-quality CIS Games, CIS Deputy Secretary General Dauren Abayev tld the media in Minsk on 13 June, BelTA has learned.

"We examined the sports facilities of the Republic of Belarus to be used in the upcoming 2nd CIS Games. The Republic of Belarus is ready, the infrastructure is ready. The atmosphere is good. We believe that Belarus will be an excellent host of the CIS Games," Dauren Abayev said.

Minsk played host to a visiting meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives. The main theme of the event was the preparation for the 2nd CIS Games in 2023. The permanent representatives toured Dinamo National Olympic Stadium, where they attended test competitions in athletics, a climbing center and a shooting range. Then they visited Belarusian State University of Physical Culture where they got acquainted with the CIS Games operational coordination center, toured the university's sports facilities and attended test competitions in modern pentathlon.

The meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives was hosted by the National Olympic Committee..

The 2nd CIS Games will take place in 11 cities of Belarus in 20 kinds of sport on 5-13 August.
