Braslav and Jingzhou: friendly relations are gaining momentum

This summer, during the international festival of traditional culture “Braslav Lightning”, a Memorandum was signed on establishing sister city relations between the Chinese city of Jingzhou and the city of Braslav.

This document, important for both sides, began to be filled with concrete actions. Chairman of the Braslav District Executive Committee Vyacheslav Grishchenko congratulated the residents of the metropolis on the international mid-autumn festival, which is widely celebrated in China. In a video message recorded at the ancient settlement, on behalf of the residents of the area, he wished his Chinese friends well-being, accompanied by a song about Belarus performed by the folk group “On the Panadwork”.

In response, a letter came from the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government. It says that the holiday and congratulations from Belarus from the sister city were broadcast on the Internet and were watched by 100 thousand people.

“We are very pleased to have established cooperation and friendly relations with the city of Braslav, which we plan to strengthen in the future,” their Chinese friends wrote to Braslav residents.
