Belorusneft's reliance on equipment of Belarusian make pointed out
The Belarusian industrial group intends to continue buying a considerable part of the equipment it needs in Belarus, BelTA learned from Belorusneft Director General Aleksandr Lyakhov.
Asked about Belorusneft's ongoing import substitution efforts, Aleksandr Lyakhov said that many kinds of the products the company needs are supplied by Belarusian manufacturers. “We've been working out these approaches for the last ten years. And they have already produced results. We intend to continue buying a considerable part of equipment for developing our enterprise in Belarus. The entire business process starting with well construction and ending with well operation relies on Belarusian equipment. And we intend to work like that later on,” the executive said.
Yuri Yankovich, Chief Process Engineer of Belorusneft's Backfill Office, added that they use domestic resources. “The year has not been simple for us. We promptly refocused on the domestic market for procuring parts and materials. And we did well. We exceeded performance targets in many areas. We secured new monthly record highs in the number of hydrocracking operations and the volume of pumped fluid,” he said.
The Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft was founded in 1966. The company specializes in exploration, prospecting, and development of oil fields, well drilling, extraction of oil and associated petroleum gas. Belorusneft also offers oil industry services in other countries.
