Belarusian-German joint metal-working company to be set up in Vitebsk
VITEBSK, 17 February (BelTA) – The Vitebsk plant Stankoremont and German corporation AXA GmbH are planning to set up a joint company to manufacture machining centers with digital program controlling in Vitebsk, BelTA learnt from the director of the Vitebsk company Leonid Krivoshei. “We have reached an agreement with the German partners about setting up a joint company on the basis of our plant,” he said. Metal-working machines of such type are not manufactured in Belarus, although the demand on them is high. These machines are applied in engineering, machine tool and metallurgic industry. There are plans to set up a company to assemble machining centers with digital program controlling. In the long run the company will place orders for certain details and mechanisms at other companies in Belarus, Leonid Krivoshei said. The German company is ready to share its technologies, organize training of Belarusian specialists and deliver measuring equipment to asses the quality of production. The sides are still in talks over the volume of investments. According to the preliminary data it will total about ?70,000 at the first stage. The Stankoremont company was set up in 2000. It develops, maintains and upgrades metal-working machines. The company is an exclusive dealer of the AXA GmbH in Belarus.БЕЛТА
