Belarus parliament elections impossible to forge
VITEBSK, 23 September (BelTA) – It is impossible to forge results of the ongoing parliamentary elections in Belarus, believes CIS observer Sergei Kondratenko, Deputy Chairman of the Tula Oblast Duma. “The large number of domestic and international observers, who are monitoring the election campaign, makes forging voting [results] impossible,” he stated. In his words, the number of observers at a polling station varied from 4 to 12 people. None of them had complaints while talking to CIS observers. While monitoring over ten polling station election commissions in Vitebsk-Chkalovsky constituency No. 18 the Tula MP pointed out the fine organization of the elections. “We have detected not a single violation of election laws during the observation of the early voting or the main voting day,” said Sergei Kondratenko. The observer also pointed out that voters were making a conscious choice. “After getting a ballot paper, people would once again peruse information about candidates. It testifies to their interest and partiality,” he added.БЕЛТА
