Belarus' Healthcare Ministry, Russia's biotechnology company BIOCAD to sign agreement


The Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and an international biotechnology company based in Russia BIOCAD plan to sign an agreement, BelTA informs citing the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich went to Saint Petersburg as part of Belarus' government delegation.

Dmitry Pinevich is set to take part in the 12th session of the Belarus-Saint Petersburg Business Cooperation Council where he will deliver a report. A strategic cooperation agreement is to be signed by the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and BIOCAD on the sidelines of the event.

Dmitry Pinevich will visit the company together with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. They will hold a working meeting with the company's top executives to discuss promising avenues of cooperation.

During the visit to Saint Petersburg, Dmitry Pinevich will meet with Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg Oleg Ergashev and Chairman of the Saint Petersburg Health Committee Dmitry Lisovets. The parties will discuss cooperation between healthcare facilities and medical education institutions of Belarus and Saint Petersburg, including the Institute of Experimental Medicine. One of the items on the agenda is the joint work of Belarusian and Russian researchers on the creation of the so-called kefir vaccine against coronavirus.

In addition, there are plans to attend the opening of the Belarusian Food Forum, the Belarus-Russia Business Forum and a number of other events.
