Belarusian farmers have cropped over 6 million tonnes of grain, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 20 August, 1.9 million hectares planted to grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, millet) were cut, or almost 94% of the target.

All in all, 6,031,600 million tonnes of grain were harvested. Minsk Oblast is leading with over 1.5 million tonnes. Brest Oblast goes second with about 1.2 million tonnes and is followed by Grodno Oblast (over 1 million tonnes), Mogilev Oblast (834,500 tonnes), Gomel Oblast (753,500 tonnes) and Vitebsk Oblast (741,800 tonnes).

The Belarusian government has procured 710,600 tonnes of grain, which accounts for 85.5% of the country's grain procurement target for 2021.
