65th anniversary of Victory concert to open season at Vitebsk Summer Amphitheater

VITEBSK, 22 April (BelTA) – A big concert to mark the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will open a new season at the Summer Amphitheater in Vitebsk, BelTA learnt from the Vitebsk cultural center. The event worked out by the STV Channel will gather veterans and war participants as well as the residents and quests of the oblast center on 2 May. On the same day in the evening the town’s main cultural venue will host another interesting jubilee concert of the Syabry ensemble. Partaking in the concert in order to congratulate the well-known collective with the 35th anniversary will be Nani Bregvadze, Alexander Buinov, Nikolai Gnatyuk, Alexander Tikhonovich and Yadviga Poplavskaya, Inna Afanasyeva, Irina Dorofeyeva, other Belarusian and Russian pop stars. The Summer Amphitheater playbill includes over 10 events in May alone. Among them is the renowned ice ballet of St Petersburg with Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, different programmes for senior and junior school students, the Tenor of the 21st century concert, Vyacheslav Butusov and the U-piter band. “The programme embraces various concerts catering for every age group,” the specialists are confident. The Summer Amphitheater will then spend some time for getting prepared for the international arts festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk. On 6 June it will host a concert of Oleg Gazmanov. The forum will include 22 concerts and numerous additional events. September is also expected to be rich in concert activity. The preparation of the programme for September is underway, the Vitebsk cultural center said.
