On 6 July the Vitebsk Regional Scientific and Methodological Center of Folk Art launched a n exhibition "Do you happen to be from Vitebsk?..." dedicated to the poetics and poetry of Marc Chagall. It showcases painted carpets made by artists from Vitebsk Oblast and Minsk Oblast. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the 135th anniversary of the birth of Marc Chagall.

The baby boy was born in the Vitebsk Regional Maternity Hospital on 3 July. He is the seventh kid in the family of Yekaterina Frolova and Aleksei Builov. The baby and his mom received congratulations from representatives of the Belaya Rus public association and local deputies.

Victory Square became the centerstage of Independence Day celebrations in Vitebsk. The celebrations included a concert, the Let's Sing the Anthem Together event and spectacular fireworks.
