NOVOPOLOTSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian petrochemical company Naftan has invested around Br160 billion in fixed capital since the beginning of the year, Naftan representatives told BelTA.

NOVOPOLOTSK, 17 June (BelTA) – In January-May 2010 the Belarusian petrochemical company Naftan processed around 3 million tonnes of oil, representatives of the company told BelTA.
The company processed around 1.5 million tonnes of duty-free oil, with the crude oil upgrading index at 73%.
At present the company administration is working hard to get adapted to the new prices for fuel and energy supplies and to keep the company’s operation effective.

VITEBSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Renovation works have been started in St Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk, BelTA learnt from director of the Polotsk National History and Culture Preserve Olga Borodich.
A three-year project will include the replacement of the roof frame and windows. The project will be financed from the national budget.

MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The Lukoml state district power plant has completed the upgrade of its four power-generating units, BelTA learnt from Vladimir Korduba, the chief engineer of the operations and dispatch department of the Belenergo state production association.
According to Vladimir Korduba, due to the upgrade, the plant will be able to save up to 1.5 tonnes of fuel equivalent on each unit daily. The capacity of the plant has increased significantly.
