VITEBSK, 11 April (BelTA) - Collection of books and copies of the letters of Marc Chagall were donated to Vitebsk Masherov State University by the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russia Abroad, BelTA has learnt. VITEBSK, 4 April (BelTA) – The Textile of Latvia exhibition opened in Vitebsk on 3 April, BelTA learnt from the Vitebsk Art Museum.
The expo features 44 works of Latvian painters many of whom are members of the Association of Latvian Textile Artists: Irena Andreyeva, Yekaterina Apale, Elina Veilande-Apine and many others.

VITEBSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Vatican may lend Marc Chagall’s works for the sake of arranging an exhibition in Vitebsk. The initiative was put forth by Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, Apostolic Nuncio of Vatican in Belarus, as he met with top executives of the Vitebsk Oblast administration on 3 April.

VITEBSK, 3 April (BelTA) – The fourth national art exhibition Insita 2012 has given start to the celebrations dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Marc Chagall in Vitebsk on 3 April, BelTA has learnt.
Taking part in Insita 2012 will be 79 painters from Belarus, Saint Petersburg and Lithuania. The exhibition will feature works from collections of the Naive Art Museum of Moscow and the Naive Art Museum of Latvia.
