Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova thanked the Belarusian Orthodox Church for their active involvement in the discussion of the Constitution draft as she attended a dialogue platform hosted by the Minsk Diocesan Administration of the Belarusian Orthodox Church on 17 January to discuss the proposed amendments and additions to the Constitution, BelTA has learned.

More than 5.095 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 4.121 million have been fully vaccinated, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

Belarus confirmed 1,274 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours; another 1,312 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

The amount of the family capital rose by 9.5% to total Br25,995 on 1 January 2022, BelTA learned from the Labor and Social Security Ministry of Belarus.

More than 4,000 proposals on the amendments and additions to Belarus' Constitution have been received from the population, Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeyenko told the media during a meeting to discuss the draft Constitution at Belarusian State Medical University on 11 January, BelTA has learned.
