Tickets for Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk sell well

Over 50% of the tickets for events of the international art festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk have been sold, BelTA learned from the forum's Director Gleb Lapitsky before an offsite session of the festival's organizing committee.

According to the source, some 40,000-45,000 tickets have been sold or about 51% of the total number. Some 3,000 tickets were sold abroad: in Switzerland, Israel, Guinea, USA, and other countries. A lot of the tickets were bought in Russia and Latvia.

The large sales in Latvia were attributed to efforts to enable visa-free travel conditions for guests from 74 countries and enable direct online sales in Latvia and Kazakhstan. "It is a good potential for us to develop the festival as a cultural and tourism brand," the forum's director is convinced.

Gleb Lapitsky specified that the festival's program is 99.9% ready. "Certainly, someone may be added as extra, but, first and foremost, we will try to implement what we've planned," he noted.

An offsite session of the festival's organizing committee involving Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko took place in Vitebsk on 11 June. Participants of the session visited key venues of the forum, including the exhibition hall Dukhovskoi Kruglik and the Summer Amphitheater where they took a close look at the key stage of the city and the conditions the artists will have.

The international art festival Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will take place on 8-17 July. The opening ceremony and a gala concert will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on 11 July, with the closing ceremony scheduled for 15 July. Additional events are supposed to take place on 8-10 July and 16-17 July.
