There are 24 religious communities in the region: 11 Orthodox, 7 Roman- Catholic, 3 Evangelical Christian-Baptists and 1 Muslim.

Many religious buildings are architectural and historical monuments, e.g. the Church of the Patronage of the Mother of God of the 19th- early 20th centuries in the town of Dokshitsy.
