The Belarusian army has completed a major command post exercise, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
As part of the exercise the Belarusian army had to take care of the national security while relying on the country's own military organization. The exercise helped improve smooth work of army control and command bodies. Commanding officers and staffs had some good practice doing the exercise. The exercise revealed a high level of training of the Belarusian army units, which took part in the exercise. All the goals were reached, all the targets were hit.
Military attachés of 15 countries watched the active phase of the exercise. They spoke highly of the actions of the Belarusian army units.
The command post exercise of the Belarusian army took place on 6-12 September and involved up to 7,500 military personnel, 260 units of armor, about 30 aircraft and helicopters. Six exercise areas and regular locations in Brest Oblast, Grodno Oblast, Minsk Oblast, and Mogilev Oblast were used for carrying out combat training missions.
